National Library Card Month!

The library has been a busy place this month! This month we've started focusing more on STEAM, which is Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. Every Friday we've had activities relating to the Giant Squid and the ocean. And we did some experimenting with our Preschoolers with sinking and floating.

Here's a little peek at what's been happening:

Have you visited the library this month? Has your child showed us his or her library card? Remember... children can pick a prize and be entered into a drawing for a Target gift card through the end of September - just by showing that they're cool kids with a library card!

September Catch Up!

September was a busy month! And somehow the time got away from me for posting pictures!

 

 

 

On Tuesday, September 18, we had our first school year Reader Leader. Bailey and Piper, two of our favorite therapy dogs, came to listen to the children read. Teen volunteers also helped children read stories, play literacy games and make crafts.

 

 

Bailey and Piper will be back on October 16 at 4:30... come and read to them!

On Monday, September 24, we had our Cool Fun Family Program. We celebrated "National Library Card Sign Up Month" with cool stories and crafts! Families also made their own ice cream! Yum!

September is National Library Card Sign Up Month!

Every child, through age 14, that gets a library card or shows us their card during the month of September will receive a small prize and be entered into a drawing for a Target gift card at the end of the month!

Tuesday, Sept. 4 @ 10:30am or 1:00pm - Preschool Story Hour for ages 3-5.
Thursday, Sept. 6 @ 4:30pm - Lego Mania for all ages
Friday, Sept. 7 @ 10:30am - Mother Goose on the Loose for ages 0 to 35 months and a caregiver.
