It seems like the perfect time to post the pictures from our Halloween programs as I'm hearing the wind howling around the library building!
Our school age crowd had their program on Oct. 25. We enjoyed 2 books about some creepy foods and then ate worms and made our own monstrous treats.

On Oct. 29, we had our family storytime, with some not so creepy stories. The children also made treats and paraded through the library in their costumes. During the scavenger hunt, the children found the pieces for a stick puppet show.

Here's a song the children learned to use with their Halloween puppets:
The Ghosts are Out Tonight (to the tune of "The Farmer in the Dell")
The ghosts are out tonight,
The ghosts are out tonight.
Best beware or they'll give you a scare.
The ghosts are out tonight.
(Make up additional verses using other creatures, such as bats and skeletons)
