Here's one last look at Summer Reading 2013! We had such a great summer!
We're starting up with our regular programming this week!
Friday, August 16 @ 10:30 or 11:30am - Mother Goose on the Loose for children birth through 3 years old and a caregiver
Tuesday, August 20 @ 10:30am or 1pm - Preschool Story Hour for children ages 3-5. Children attend the first half on their own and are joined by the caregivers for a short video and craft.
Thursday, August 22 @ 10:30am - Toddler Time for children ages 2-3 years and their caregiver.
Thursday, August 22 @ 4:30pm - Cool It! for children in grades K-5. We're making ice cream and having other "cool" fun!

Summer is Flying By!
We've been busy the last 6 weeks! Take a look at this slide show to see some of the fun we've had:
We've had programs about dinosaurs, ancient Egypt, troublesome critters and water programs. The 4-5 year olds haven't had their water program yet, because of all the storms that were threatening that day. We're hoping for this week!
We still have several programs over the next two weeks and there's still plenty of time to get those books turned in for prizes!

It's Hard to Believe
It doesn't quite seem possible that the school year is almost over, does it? Today, I'm going to give you a slideshow recap of what the children have been doing at the library. It's been fun!

Fall Programs Starting!
The kids are back in school. Summer traveling is wrapping up this weekend. And the Cedar Lake Branch Library is back to regular programming!
All our preschool programs are designed to enhance preliteracy skills to help your child be ready to learn to read.
There's something for every age group and every child. So please check out these programs!
Mother Goose on the Loose: Children from birth to 35 months old and their caregiver. Participate in stories, nursery rhymes, fingerplays and music activities. Children in this program are on the move and beginning to learn how to interact in social situations.
1st and 3rd Fridays @ 10:30am
Toddler Time: Children ages 2-3 years and their caregiver. Participate in stories, finger plays, music activities, crafts, and more. In this program, children hear more books than in Mother Goose.
2nd & 4th Thursdays @ 10:30am
Preschool Story Hour: Children ages 4-5. Hear stories and participate in music activities, rhymes, crafts and other activities. Children get their first experiences of attending programs without their caregiver.
During our short movie and craft, adults come in the room to participate with their child.
1st & 3rd Tuesdays @ 10:30am and 1:00pm. Both sessions are the same.
School Age Programs: Children in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. Enjoy stories, games, crafts and more during these programs.
4th Thursday @ 4:30pm
3rd Tuesday @ 4:30pm
All Ages Programs: Children of all ages and their caregivers. There are many to choose from!
* Lego Mania: 1st Thursday @ 4:30pm
*Art Saturday: Open House style from 10-12. Check the library calendar for dates. Cedar Lake Calendar
* Family Storytime: Last Monday @ 6:30pm
